It has been a glorious sunny day here in Amsterdam I actually felt very warm when I woke up.

So warm that my first thought was that the catheter was blocked again but Richie reassured me that everything was fine and it was the weather that was warm not me.

The temperature really has gone up now which is nice, just hope it does not become too hot too quickly as there is nothing worse than sudden huge changes in the temperature with MS.

Think we need to get a better fan, so when it gets as hot as it did last year we can keep cool; found out last year that ventilation is a big priority for me.

Noticed that I was both excited and quite worried when I heard on Wednesday that I could sit in the wheel chair again.

After my shower this morning I sat for the second time in the wheelchair which was good, it was the anticipation of sitting again that had worried me and not the event itself.

Sitting in my wheelchair to use the Motomed was much better than sitting in the shower chair which gives me no support whatsoever.

In the shower chair I lean very badly to the right, Richie tries to make this better for me by putting a pillow between me and the arm of the chair which helps a little bit.

The wheelchair is better for me as the back has been modulated to give me the support that I need

Enjoying sitting in the wheelchair even more this time than last October, guess the extra time in bed has made me very keen.

I sent yet another mail to Online yesterday, with an overview of all payments that I have made since the beginning of the year.

They insist that every month they try to get the subscription by a direct debit on Richie’s account, which is weird as they have not had a penny since 2006 from any other account but mine

Spent the afternoon relaxing, did not start writing this until about 9 pm after enjoying watching the football.

It is nearly the end of the season so all the games were fast and furious which made for good watching.

Found myself hoping that Manchester City would beat their big rivals Manchester United, it was a huge battle and looked like it would end in 0-0.

Then in the last minute Paul Scholes got the winning goal for Manchester United, their fans were very happy, while the City fans looked gutted.

It really was a tremendous game which was good as so often local Derbys can be dull as one team will get hold of the ball and effectively shutthe game down.

Brilliant that today was different, not looking forward to my team Arsenals game tomorrow, as there is alot riding on these last games
.
Hope that I will be able to watch tomorrow, as quite often I use the laptop screen to hide behind but not tomorrow.

Well time to find pictures and post this before Match of the Day on BBC 2 which I am going to enjoy without the laptop in front of me.

Siiting For The First Time Again In My Electric Wheelchair

The situation with Online has not been resolved just yet but I am hopeful that it will be by Monday.

Had a supportive e-mail from MSweb, an MSForum, which is much used here, they are outraged and will write a cross letter to Online.

Had a hectic afternoon with a very good friend Anja, who is my best and oldest friend here, we saw each other in 1983 at mutual friends and in the squatters bars and got to know each other in 1984.

Anja was delighted to see me sitting in my electric wheelchair when she arrivedf, today was my first time, as we forgot to charge the battery for yesterday.

Much as I wanted to sit, I had been somewhat apprehensive about sitting so was very relieved and happy it went so well this afternoon.

Anja came by today to socialise and help with the tax forms, I forgot what a huge job it is, she was busy searching and finding documents for me for quite awhile.

Anja started when she arrived at 14.35 and had got all the documents together by 16.00, we did talk during the process but at 17 pm she left to photo copy and post the copies in our letterbox and the original in the post.

Feeling quite tired as I had to answer a heap of questions but it is all done and next week another friend will take it round to yet another friend Evert, who is a book keeper, who does our tax returns.

Now Anja has got all the paperwork together, I can write up the amounts that we are asking back.

Once I check out some facts and figures think I will ask see if Evert can collect otherwise I will ask our great friend Cecile.

Feel very good about today, it is really good to not have these things hanging over our heads anymore.

Well the paperwork is still here in neat plastic folders plastic folders ready to go next week once I have dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s.

Good way to start the weekend think I am going to enjoy it very much indeed, the sun has been shining all day and there is still no air traffic which is great.

Off to find some pictures and post this and then I shall enjoy the sun and the quiz program on BBC Radio 4.

Very sunny weather today which has been extraordinarily lovely to sit here in bed with the window open.

Gorgeous day, made even better by the fact that due to the volcanic dust from the erupting volcano in Island, there were no planes flying over every few minutes, sometimes it feels like seconds.

Often it can be oppressive for example at the start and the end of the summer holiday, we sometimes get woken up very early by people walking by pulling their suitcases behind them.

Quite amazing no planes today, heard on the BBC radio from someone ringing in from near Heathrow Airport.

He wanted to share his pleasure today, that he could sit in his garden for a change and enjoy it, without planes taking off over his house all day until late at night.

Lovely peaceful day here with the street sounds gently filtering through the open window, which I have enjoyed.

Still having problems with my Internet Provider Online who just will not accept that I have indeed paid.

Have sent mails to a couple of TV and radio show consumer programs asking for their assistance.

When I contacted my bank they said that if I copied and pasted the info from my account the problem would be solved.

But it is not and everyday this week I have been involved with this seemingly never ending saga.

Online keep talking about arrears in March and will not accept that I have indeed paid.

I have sent a message via my online bank account to my bank, asking them to send me official proof of payment.

Hope that this works and this problem is sorted out very soon so that I can concentrate on enjoying my life again without this sort of unnecessary stress.

Today has been a wonderful sunny day which was made even brighter by Ton coming round and confirming that the wound is healed up.

Wonderful news indeed, so now sitting up can begin, Ton suggests starting with sitting up for 30 minutes the first time and lf it all goes well the next day already for 1 hour.

I am looking forward to it very much, but ti also seems so unreal will it really happen this time.

Hope so would so like to get outside and feel the outside air on the outside and not just coming in through the window.

Was hoping to have a relaxing day today after Ton was here but got caught up in another round of e-mails with Online, my Internet provider.

Now they say I did pay for March but because of arrears the money I paid went to that,
where these arrears come from is weird seeing as every other month is paid,

No arrears for February which could explain the March arrears, they can not explain that so just kept repeating themselves that I owe them 29,50.

It’s amazing I have paid each month and can see this in my online banking but they just ignore this in favour of their story.

It is bloody amazing can not believe that th is happening as I have a few things that need sorting out which are also important.

Going to stop now and try and regain my composure and enjoy the evening.

Another beautiful sunny day today, which was wonderful, gave me a huge boost again, it is nice to see the sunshine outside.

Brilliant that spring has finally got here, tomorrow Ton will be here hope that he confirms what Richie says is true.

That this annoying tiny wound has finally healed up and life can move along again in a different direction and hopefully many destinations.

Really hope that it is true, so that I can finally start to sit up again, going to take it slowly as possible.

Sadly I won’t be able to go very far until I have built up the length of sitting time, Ton will still be here every week, to keep an eye literally to see all is going well.

Been trying to get the problem with my internet provider Online solved, so far it is not happened.

Very tired now after contacting everyone and asking for their support, now I am going to try to relax
