Sunshine and Blue Skies.

Asian Art.

Here it is the day after Easter and the weather is very good, there are blue skies and sunshine today and it is getting abit warmer too.

Enough for the window to be open all day which is great, probably have to start using the mosquito net before too long.

Thought yesterday that we might get good weather today and here it is beautiful weather for April.

Very exciting, I got my new glasses today; they are good, just got a photo taken by Richie will post it.

This afternoon Willes came upstairs to help with the post it took from 3.30 until 5 and now it is done.
.
Feeling tired now, mostly anticipation of the post, were there going to be horrible surprises like outstanding bills to pay.

Brilliant that is done now, feels everything is tidy, e-mail, internet favourites and now our post and bills.

A good start to the week and month, think that I will finds pictured and post this and relax, nice to look out the open window onto beautiful sunshine outside.

Tonight is a Champion’s League game between Arsenal versus Barcelona; really hope that my team Arsenal wins tonight.

Come on the Gunners!

A Relaxed Day.

Dadaism.

Felt wonderfully relaxed last night after the post and bills had been dealt with, everything felt better.

Am convinced that even our dinner tasted better and the TV was more amusing and the whole evening was better, all because some envelopes had been opened and things paid.

Went to sleep very easily last night, it was good, no sooner had Richie settled me in bed when my eyes started to get heavy.

Just managed to ask Richie to adjust a couple of things for me, like lower the alarm button and put the mattress on to the soft setting.

No sooner then I spoken when I fell asleep, quicker than I had thought I would, I did wake up at 5 am when Spike roused and woke us all up by flapping his ears.

Richie got me some THC and I slept on, until 10 am, brrr it was cold this morning, glad my darling put the heating on quickly.

Then Spike demanded to be put on my bed by Richie, he achieved this by standing next to my bed and squeaking and jumping up and down.

He seemed to reach a crescendo before he got Richie to install him on my bed, then he seemed to ooze over to me.

What a sweet little dog Spike is, today he curled up in my arms, but not before he had delicately licked my throat and ears.

After a cuddle and extensive stroking, he was ready to carry on playing; he showed me a way of playing on the bed which was very soft game.

Just right for my situation, it consisted of Spike putting his kong within easy reach for me to push it down a ‘slope’ in the duvet.

Then he would pick it up and stretch his neck out to put his Kong back in front of me, a very touching display from a boisterous little dog.

He is so obviously fond of me it is very touching to see.

Today has been a very pleasant day, relaxed and quite mellow, even my pain seemed to have taken abit of a backseat today.

It was there but the combination of being relaxed and THC helped to relax me completely.

Train of Thoughts.

Had problems sleeping last night, kept thinking about doing the post and wondering what nasty things were lurking there for my delight.

As soon as I started thinking I could not stop, nor could I sleep, shame you can’t stop as quickly and easily as you start.

Trying to stop thinking just seems to produce the opposite result, as thoughts came even thicker and faster.

As usual once I had started to think I could not stop my train of thoughts.

And it was just like a train, with many carriages, and just like my thoughts which came and went with speed, and there was no stopping me.

All that worrying for nothing, as it turned out there was nothing too unpleasant, just the usual burocratic mail, it is truly amazing how much post you get when you become disabled.

Glad the post had no nasty surprises in it today, funny how worried I was yesterday, so worried that it kept me awake until 3 am when I took a tablet.

The post and the telephone calls are slightly calmer now, then it was when I was first disabled, and then it seemed that I had got a whole new occupation.

Our phone bill was huge then, because there were so many calls to make on a daily basis, this is when I really needed my case manager to step into action.

She did not so I had to be my own case manager, luckily I have a new case manager now, and she is dynamic woman, who is very engaged with her work.

Good to have someone like that to look out for my interests and who seems to care about my welfare.

Today is another extremely cold day, the sun shone brightly; there are still strawberries on the plant outside the bedroom window.

Ten strawberries trying to turn red think that now we have had a frosty night like last night they will freeze and defrost and go mushy and eventually mouldy.

Tomorrow some friends may be around to visit us, looking forward to seeing them, in the afternoon after my physiotherapy session with the wonderful Mathilde.

Starting to feel relaxed now, step one to the tension fading was getting the post out of the way and step two was making the phone calls.

Step three will be getting my carer’s allowance sorted out on Friday, when a very good friend Anja is going to be visiting us, will help me.

Once Anja helps me to get the allowance sorted, all I need do then is send in the paperwork and that is the last bit of administration I need to do this year.

After that I can enjoy our wedding anniversary this Saturday 19 December, and the Winter Solstice on the 21 December.

And then there is Christmas next week Friday.

Happy days.
