Turn Back Time.

Joseph Minton.

For someone who hates summer ending and autumn starting I do like the month of December.

Wish it did not rush by, would like the December days to pass by slowly, shame that is not possible.

Time passes the same every day and every year, mind you isn’t it just our perception and time does nothing.

I had a look online for definitions of time and found this on Wikipedia:
''Among prominent philosophers, there are two distinct viewpoints on time.

One view is that time is part of the fundamental structure of the universe, a dimension in which events occur in sequence

Sir Isaac Newton subscribed to this realist view, and hence it is sometimes referred to as Newtonian time.

Time travel, in this view, becomes a possibility as other "times" persist like frames of a film strip, spread out across the time line.

The opposing view is that time does not refer to any kind of "container" that events and objects "move through", nor to any entity that "flows", but that it is instead part of a fundamental intellectual structure (together with space and number) within which humans sequence and compare events.

This second view, in the tradition of Gottfried Leibniz[4] and Immanuel Kant, holds that time is neither an event nor a thing, and thus is not itself measurable nor can it be travelled.

Ray Cummings, an early writer of science fiction, wrote in 1922, "Time… is what keeps everything from happening at once",

Wikipedia also says:
''Time keeping is so critical to the functioning of modern societies that it is coordinated at an international level.''

It is interesting to see that at some point humans decided that time had to be measured and decided how and when to do this.

Seems to me that our perceptions are very important in deciding many things, time and our lives are all part of our perception.

Since I have become so disabled due to the progression of my Primary Progressive MS I have become very interested in perception.

Realise more and more that how I perceive the world around me has a huge effect on my life.

If I am positive then everything is positive, but if I am negative then everything is negative and I  can not see good in anything.

Time is something else that is affected b y my perception of time flying by and time creeping by.

Now that I am older and have experienced many things, time seems to have speeded up but I know that is because many events are known to me now.

So my knowledge is more extensive and therefore time now seems to go by much faster than when I was 5 years old.

My perceptions are important for how I am, how I feel about life the universe and everything.

I choose to have a positive perception and life feels better for it.

Deal With Things As They Happen.

Sarah Lucas.

Yesterday I was quite tired after the excitement of Thursday, amazing what a boost it gave me, so much so that I was still feeling good the day after.

Even today two days after I feel the positive effects of the huge boost it gave me, which was much needed.

Had not expected it to be such a huge effect, has given me lots to think about, it was good to see and feel the life on the street.

When we were out Thursday I had to keep stopping very often as my right arm was getting very tired and somehow it felt like I could not stretch it out enough.

Luckily Richie noticed that the steering was a touch to far away for me to reach it properly which was causing me the discomfort.

Once Richie had adjusted it, I could roll without his help which was even better, it was good that Richie could steer me when I could not but I prefer to do it myself.

Because of the arm problems started immediately to worry that I would not be able to get much further than the market but as soon as I started I stopped.

Could feel right away that even one thought of worrying cast a negative shadow, which is not what I need.

Difficult to stop worry and getting negative guess the only thing I can keep doing is remain aware.

Be vigilant and every time I do feel down and start to worry to remind myself to take it one step at a time.

I can not do more; it is not easy to do, often even when I feel extremely positive I can still worry.

Guess worrying is only natural, so not going to try to suppress it, what I will do is deal with things as they happen, that is all I can and will do.
