Ask For Things I need.

At The National Gallery of Athens.

I am sitting in the front room with the dogs; Richie is having a driving lesson right now; he will be home before too long.

I hope he won’t be much longer now, as I need a few things, a drink, an adjustment of how I am sitting and the fan put next to me.

Despite there being no sunshine today and rain it is hot and unpleasantly sticky and close.

There has been a weather forecast that we would have 3 gorgeous summer days, from Monday to Wednesday and rain, thunderstorms from Thursday.

This bad weather will sadly put an end to what looked like the return of summer on Monday, ah well Monday and Tuesday were beautiful days.

Have to face the fact that it looks like our summer is over now, hopefully we will still get the occasional good day.

That did not happen last year, nevertheless, I am going to remain hopeful, the dogs have rushed to the door they obviously think Richie is coming home.

The dogs were right Richie was in the building, his driving lesson went very well, which was good news.

Once my darling has had a drink and freshened up I shall ask him for the things I need.

Good Warm Sunny Weather Coming.

Sun Dance 1956.

Arne Ekeland.

Today started cloudy, then got sunny, the weather forecast says that it is set to get warm this weekend.

Looking forward to going out tomorrow, as well as over the weekend, I plan to enjoy the warm, sunny weather.

I shall wear my new outfit of black harem pants; tie-dye t-shirt and my red & black creeper shoes plus lots of bling.

Looking forward to getting out and about, this Saturday I shall get Richie to get me up early so we have more time outside while the sun shines.

Nice to have plans, also nice to have new clothes, the pants are good fun, really like them, the shoes are great, they have thick soles with a black & red argyle pattern.

Great fun to have new clothes and shoes, they make me feel good, which is so much better than when I was not interested in what I had on, or even whether I had a shower or not.

No wonder I felt like that when I had to stay in bed for as long as I had to, with hindsight I know now that was not good for me.

Now I wish I had not stopped caring about how I looked, as it is so important, it helps keep me positive.

Being positive is extremely important, it won’t make me better, I wish it did, but what it does do is help me enjoy and be as happy as I can be.

The Work Will Give Me Some Independance.

Mary Cassatt.

Autumn seems to be here already, the weather was briefly sticky and muggy on Saturday and Sunday which made it very difficult to maintain a good sitting position in the wheelchair.

Rain was forecast for 4 days from Saturday, it did not happen it just looked like it might happen any minute.

There was never very much sunshine though it was bright not like today which started with pouring rain.

Marleen hates seeing rain she does not mind being if the park in a downpour but going around the block in drizzle is not acceptable at all.

Think she will be very happy today as Richie put on his waterproofs and took Marleen and Spike to the park first thing despite the rain thrashing down.

Hope he gets back real soon as I think that I need to get to the toilet and shower real quick, just had an enormous spasm that went on for minutes.

A horrible intense spasm which had my legs banging against the bottom of the bed table, luckily Richie has wrapped some foam around the base so my legs are protected.

Tomorrow two men will arrive at 10 am and will be here all day putting sensors up for my new gizmo.

I will be able to do things such as turn on the lights, turn on the TV, the DVD player and open the doors as well as open the front gate.

All can be done with a little control box which is either by my bed or on the wheelchair it will also enable me to make phone calls without any problems.

It will be very good for me just dread the idea of two men being here for two days putting up sensors.

Oh well sure the reality will be a lot better than the prospect of the event and the result will be good for me, it will give me some independance.
