An Experience Wiser.

Dendrobium Orchids.

Would like to warn everyone about a website called Serenata Flowers http://www.serenataflowers.com .

I found the site on Sunday, they claimed to send flowers, chocolates and vases to International destinations.

This was a wonderful discovery as we wanted to send flowers to a dear friend in Edmonton, Canada.

I placed an order for pretty flowers, chocolates plus vase and paid via Pay Pal, after I placed the order I thought that was it, until we heard from our delighted friend on Wednesday.

Sadly things did not go so smoothly, as various problems happened, such as the flowers I had chosen were not available in Canada, despite being on the page for Canada.

I had to choose again and again, each time my choice was not available in Canada.

This happened 5 times all with links sent to me by the Customer Service Representatives.

The next disappointment was that the chocolates and the vase I chose were also not available to Canada.

Because all this took most of Monday and none of my choices were available I was offered a more expensive bouquet at no further charge plus a clear glass vase.

I got the final confirmation on Tuesday that the flowers would be delivered on Wednesday with vase.

Wonderful result after a lot of stress on Monday and 25 mails sent to Seranata Customer Service.

Yesterday I assumed that all was well and the bouquet of roses and lilies would be delivered and be a pleasant surprise.

The only surprise was the one that I got at 20.00 pm last night when I received a mail from Serenata that my friends address was not in their Canadian partner’s delivery area.

I could not believe this after all the stress and seemingly endless mails, trying to get a result on Monday, to get such an unpleasant surprise last night when it was too late to do anything was horrible.

There was no mention of a refund or apologies just that my order was cancelled, end of story, but not for me.

I sent a couple of mails requesting the immediate repayment of my money and expressing my disappointment at the non delivery of flowers.

This morning I got a mail from one of the Customer Service Representatives I dealt with offering his excuses and a 30% discount on my next purchase:

‘’ Dear Herrad,

I am so sorry for ‘the disappointment of the florist informing us they could not deliver. Not being familiar with the country ourselves we would not be aware of this, but I am in agreement that we should have been informed sooner to give you the opportunity to make alternative arrangements.

You will of course be refunded in full - my colleague is actioning that now for me.

I would also like to offer a discount voucher off any future orders you may place. Please enter the discount code ND30PC0802 for 30% off any order.

Once again, my sincere apologies.

Here is my response:

Hello,

Thank you for your mail, this has been a truly horrible experience, the only good thing after all the stress on Monday was the confirmation on Tuesday, that our friend would get a lovely surprise on her birthday.

You do not need to know the country, but it is of paramount importance that you know where your partners in Canada can deliver to, so you can provide a good service.

Which certainly is not the situation now, I will not be using the discount voucher as I do not feel confident to use your website ever again.

I think it is a shame for you and your excellent colleague Charmaine, you have my sympathy for having to work in such a disorganised environment.

I will be letting all my friends and acquaintances know of my experience and will blog about it later, as I would not want anyone else to be so disappointed.

Regards,
Herrad
ps The refund has been received on my PayPal account.

So I have my money back would have rather have had a bouquet delivered for our dear friend’s birthday instead.

Ah well at least I have learned something, which is find out if the address can be delivered in the first place.

At least I got the intelligence I needed to know, I won't go there again.

Sunny Friday.

Russian Art.

Today has been a very sunny day which I spent looking out of the window and listening to music.

Then two friends Cecile and Anne came round, Anne brought a nice plant for me, very sweet of her, it looks very nice on my little flower table.

It was a very enjoyable visit, lovely to see them both here and hear their news, they drank white wine and enjoyed it immensely.

Both were looking and sounding very well which was great to see and it was nice to catch up with our friends.

They are both very happy and excited that I should be starting to sit again very soon, and with the weather getting better it seems the right time to me to go outside again.

Here is it is 8.20 and I is still light outside, it is quite dark in here as the sun is not high enough to bath the room in sunlight, that happens in June and July.

Richie is going round the block with the dogs when he comes back I shall get him o straighten my body as I have become cork screwed with my spine getting twisted.

Soon as he has done that I will be able to sit well and happily for another few hours and enjoy the delicious fish and chip dinner that my darling Richie has made.

I intend to thoroughly enjoy this Friday evening.

Sadly No Progress.

German Art

Yesterday was a good day, not as busy as some of my Birthdays in the past.

But nevertheless it was a pleasant day with a few surprises.

I now have 4 big bunches of flowers plus 4 small roses in pots adorning my bedroom.

The hyacinths in one bunch really scents the room up nicely, love their scent, it really is the first delightful scent of spring.

Got quite worried about Ton's visit today, so much so could not get off to sleep, and ahd to wake my darling and ask for a sleeping tablet.

This got me to sleep with no problem and next thing that I knew it was 10 ama nd Richie had opened the curtain.

Ton arrived some hours later at 1 pm and had a quick look to see if the ting cut/skin tear had healed but no it was the same.

He always noted that it is not infected and looks healthy just no progress.

Then Ton observed how Richie puts the band around me in order to ho0ist me out of bed.

He saw thei whole process, saw Richie p-lacpign me in the chair and adjst me, at every stage he could see nothing untoward was happeneing.

Richie si fully aware of the factl that there mu ct be no pressure on the tear adn ther eis no0ne.

Tonl could see nothing kthat might be causing presspure ont eharea and stopping the tear from healing.

Phew! we were all relieved it was over when it was, Ton went off to the RCA with photos to show the doctors.

Quite lieky Dr Smit will come with him next week, so two menw ill eb coming yb to loook at my tiny wound.

For now I can relax knowing Richie does it all excellently.

It's My Birthday

Wassily Kandinsky

The sun is shining and the sky is blue and I have already had online birthday cards and greetings email and birthday greetings via Face Book.

The bell rang earlier; I thought it was the chemist dropping our deliveries to us.

It turned out to be flowers from Gareth and Paul in Wales, a lovely bunch of roses and lilies and other pretty flowers.

What a gorgeous surprise for me, one that totally got me, wow can't stop saying that every time I look over at the flowers.

The bell rang again and it was a second bunch of flowers from another friend in Wales Cari and her son Zebe.

And then another friend, who; lives local came by also with flowers, 5 small roses in pots and a bunch of willow branches.

Wonderful plus some more emails and e-cards and phone calls from dear friends.

Think that I shall stop here and find some pictures and post this and then I can have a nice shower and enjoy my day.

It is my Birthday today and I am going to enjoy it to the max
.

Happy Days are here again.

Rainy Day Fun with 2 Jack Russell's.

Gothic Art.

Raining today, Richie says it is damp and windy and unpleasant, shame as it is 26 February and we are moving swiftly towards the beginning of spring.

Richie is making a big fry up for our brunch, it smells very good, hope it arrives soon as thinking about it and smelling it has made me extremely hungry.

Had very good nights sleep last night, seemed to be in a very good dream, perhaps even several dreams.

A good friend Cecil's birthday is today, we ordered a big bunch of tulips to be delivered to her before lunch.

Got a very excited telephone message around 11 am, that the flowers had arrived, she sounded very happy indeed.

Wish that I could transfer her voice from our answer machine so you could hear her pleasure.

Especially nice for me to do something like this, to be able to give a friend pleasure, when I can not go to her house to celebrate her special day.

By the sound of it food is here quite soon, have to get Richie to reorganise my body before attempting sitting up to eat.

That was delicious; it was a wonderful mixture of leftovers from last night with the addition of sardines.

Never thought of frying up leftovers and adding sardines could be quite as tasty as this was.

Wonderful and tonight Richie is making fish and chips with mushy peas and brown sauce and pickled onions.

Followed by his delicious prune and rum ice c ream, the coconut cream makes it super creamy, when Richie said he had made prune ice cream I thought it sounded horrible.

Then I tasted it and it is very good indeed.

Nice for me to get all these taste sensations, Richie cooks so well, nice to be spoiled rotten by my darling.

I enjoy it very much and so does he, it is an extremely good arrangement for the two of us and for our 2 Jack Russell’s.

Despite the pain and the weather it is a good day for me, hope that it is a good day for others too.

Let us all enjoy the moment.
