Recently I was getting myself worried about some paperwork that I felt I wouldn’t get done on time.

Then yesterday I realised that I did not need to panic as I would get the tasks completed on time.

It amused me when I discovered that I was getting in a right flap about very little, typically I was getting myself worked up for nothing.

I need to get our tax returns in, at the moment I'm waiting for a couple of documents that I have to include.

What made me even more cheerful, was finding out that I could use my tax return from last year as a template for this year's.

Most of the items are the same, just some numbers have to be changed, there was me getting all upset.

The other thing that really relieved the pressure was hearing from our acquaintance, an accountant who does our tax for us, that I have until the second week in May to hand in the documents to him.

On Wednesday I had a visit from two friends, Cecile and Anne, which was really good as it turned out.

 I mentioned that I was really concerned that would not be able to attend my appeal against the council refusing me the air conditioning.

Saying I didn't think that our friend Anja reading out a letter from me describing all the problems I have when it gets warm in the summer would not be effective.

Cecile said immediately that if I prepared my statement then she would come round before the hearing and film me in bed.

That way the court will be able to see exactly what my situation is, and perhaps that might persuade them to overturn the Council’s decision.

While I have absolutely no belief in the justice system, nevertheless I shall give it a good shot, and who knows I might even win, that would be excellent.

Beautiful sunny, warm day, both of us slept until midday, then Richie was busy for most of the afternoon.

I did not get out; the windows were open to enjoy the warm weather, which makes me hopeful.

Looking forward to going out without so many clothes, that will be very nice, I can’t wait.

Sadly Bolton were beaten 5-0 by Stoke, so it will be Manchester City v Stoke for the FA Cup final in May.

Now I shall not indulge in more speculations, certainly, not now I just saw Arsenal draw with Liverpool.

Going to ask a friend to help me get the paperwork sorted out for our tax returns, once that is done I can relax.

I organised a couple copies of two documents, we need in order to have all the paperwork ready to send to an acquaintance, that does our tax.

Good to have someone you know doing this, funny to think we met in the early eighties when we were squatters.

Now he does all the tax returns for many other ex-squatters, they may have passed anti squatting laws now.

That will not stop people, when there are once again so many homeless people, and so many empty houses/offices as a result of the economic crisis.

The situation with Online has not been resolved just yet but I am hopeful that it will be by Monday.

Had a supportive e-mail from MSweb, an MSForum, which is much used here, they are outraged and will write a cross letter to Online.

Had a hectic afternoon with a very good friend Anja, who is my best and oldest friend here, we saw each other in 1983 at mutual friends and in the squatters bars and got to know each other in 1984.

Anja was delighted to see me sitting in my electric wheelchair when she arrivedf, today was my first time, as we forgot to charge the battery for yesterday.

Much as I wanted to sit, I had been somewhat apprehensive about sitting so was very relieved and happy it went so well this afternoon.

Anja came by today to socialise and help with the tax forms, I forgot what a huge job it is, she was busy searching and finding documents for me for quite awhile.

Anja started when she arrived at 14.35 and had got all the documents together by 16.00, we did talk during the process but at 17 pm she left to photo copy and post the copies in our letterbox and the original in the post.

Feeling quite tired as I had to answer a heap of questions but it is all done and next week another friend will take it round to yet another friend Evert, who is a book keeper, who does our tax returns.

Now Anja has got all the paperwork together, I can write up the amounts that we are asking back.

Once I check out some facts and figures think I will ask see if Evert can collect otherwise I will ask our great friend Cecile.

Feel very good about today, it is really good to not have these things hanging over our heads anymore.

Well the paperwork is still here in neat plastic folders plastic folders ready to go next week once I have dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s.

Good way to start the weekend think I am going to enjoy it very much indeed, the sun has been shining all day and there is still no air traffic which is great.

Off to find some pictures and post this and then I shall enjoy the sun and the quiz program on BBC Radio 4.
