World Cup 2010 Fever.

Abstract Art.

Saturday it is the first full day of World Cup fever, we are watching a game right now Greece v Korea.

Greece is having a real hard time, Richie reckons that is because they are older and maybe they are having a problem with the altitude.

Tonight after Dr. Who is the England v USA game, we are both hoping USA wins, neither want England to win.

I do not like the attitude of the country and the England team who seem to think it is their right to win.

Only just heard that USA won against England in 1950, hope it happens again tonight.

Apparently when the result was telegraphed to England they thought that there had been a mistake.

They thought it could not be USA 1-0 England and it had to be a print error and have been USA 1- 10 England.

A very short celebration until the news came through that it had indeed been a win for the USA.

Some of the USA players are known to us as they play in England, so it will be good fun to cheer them on tonight.

Had an abrupt awakening this morning when a huge spasm woke me and right after that I was aware I was suddenly very damp.

Richie came over and discovered that I was lying in a little pool of urine, the catheter had not come out, it had just been slightly moved out of place by the spasm.

Enough to cause a substantial leakage onto the bed, this meant Richie taking me swiftly into the bathroom for a shower at 7 am

He flushed the catheter with the saline solution and attached a new catheter bag, he also made sure the catheter was in the correct place.

Everything went smoothly and I was back in bed at just gone 8 am and after some THC I went back to sleep.

Happily so did Richie until approximately 11 am, we really needed that extra sleep badly today.

Last night was not an easy night; we were both disturbed by people passing by drunkenly shouting to each other plus the private party at the theatre opposite leaving very drunk and in high spirits at 3 am.

We live in a city so do not expect it t to be quiet but it would be pleasant if people did not feel the need to scream and shout on the street in the early hours.

Guess it is live and let live but sometime it can be difficult especially when woken up from a deep sleep.

Going to take it easy today and watch the football, now it is Argentina v Nigeria and the sun is shining, its warm in the sun and cold in the shade.

Summer is not quite back yet in its full glory, but it looks much better in the sunshine
than in the rain like since the beginning of the week.

Hi, Herrad,
I never really got into soccer (your football.) My children played it in town and at school, and I know the rules and all, but I always liked baseball better. My kids enjoy it, though, and they'll will be glued to the screen watching the World Cup. Enjoy!
Peace,
Muff

Most people would agree with him, that they are indeed a bit old. As I had to work, wasn't able to see it, neither the "re-play" as I had to bring Stefan to sleep.
Sad to read about the election, yet the same can be said from here, once again, that the mood is shifting a large portion to the right and one feels a bit strange with a resident permission running out in a year.
Please have a nice Sunday you two.
