Awards on Sunday

A cloudy day today that kept thinning and then blue sky was visible, every time it was totally blue the clouds started drifting in once again.

Despite this it has been mostly sunny and now it is dusk, the sun is gone now, it is 16.24 and it will be dark soon.

Our dear friends from Wales will be here tomorrow, we are both looking forward to seeing them.

Suddenly it is so long since we last saw them in February this year, it feels like eons.

Last night went to sleep very easily and also woke up again very easy too, seemed to take forever to get back to sleep again.

Somehow got to thinking and once that happens you can just about forget going off to sleep.

Hate that feeling of slipping off to sleep, sort of nearly and then at the last moment it does not work and I am still totally awake and concious.

I hate that happening to me, gets me mad, and that is of course no way that sleep will happen.

Certainly not when I am so annoyed, this tends to keep you awake,it does not allow the mind the peace it needs.

Very difficult to switch off your thoughts

Thanks for the award Herrad!

Yesterday's pics were good food for the soul. Today pics reminded me that in spite of a gloomy rainy day here, I have ice cream in the fridge!

Oh, thank you Herrad. I have enjoying reading some of your blogs. I see that you liked some of the authors I did when very young. I recall reading The Grapes of Wrath at 8 years old and being delighted with an author who knew farm people. I had been molested at 5 years old by a man in his forties so I had had to think heavy thoughts about how to handle this since I perceived about the same time that my father appeared to be involved in a homosexual relationship with this same man who had become enraged at him for going off to party with younger men. So I thought targeted me to take revenge. That is why my blog is named Daughters of the Shadow Men. Men who also have a sexual life in the shadows as well as with a wife. Sexual abuse as you observe in your other blog in your story of being raped raises your consciousness to a whole new level of painful awareness. Gerry
