A Good Result This Time.

Welzorg finally visited yesterday, after promising me a quick appointment on 30 March, which did not materialise.

The delay was because of ordering the parts and then plan in the appointment into busy schedules
.
Shame that they did not communicate with me that would have been better than leaving me thinking I had been forgotten again.

I made it clear, that if the substitute joystick/controls did not allow the chair to recline that I would expect everything to be replaced.

Luckily I had sent e-mails about being unhappy, that they planned to take my wheelchair for 6 days.

They then said I could keep the wheelchair, but this would be useless without the controls, no way of turning it on.

Reclining is important to be seated properly, and tipping forward for me to use the Motomed, after many e-mails, Welzorg finally agreed to install an alternative control box.

This resulted in a good experience with Welzorg; they installed an alternative system that allows Richie, not me to operate the wheelchair.

It was a good result thanks to pushing for a better solution to the one Welzorg initially offered me, shame they could not have fitted the new joystick here too.

I'll start clapping when all is installed and working; but it does sound like a step forward.

You keep fighting for what you need, Herrad.

Hi Patrick,
You are right, it was a victory and one that I savored.

Hi Gareth,
It was good they came and installed a workable temp. solution.
Welzorg showed again their lack of care for their clients.
Glad you had a good day with your dad

Hi Gigi,
How lovely to see your comment when I started up the laptop just now.
I love your blog which I hope to visit more often.

Hi Joyce,
It was hard work but as you say it paid off and my situation is better than the one Welzorg proposed.

Hi Steve,
Seems that I have to keep fighting and I will, shame though as life would be more pleasant without fighting.
I would rather spend my time and energy on enjoying my life.
I hope you are enjoying your life.

Thanks to you 5 lovely friends for coming by, appreciate your visits and it is good to see your comments.
It was good Welzorg finally came round.
Shame they do not think of communication, but they never bother.
Also a shame they could not have also installed the new joystick too.
I have to wait until Monday to be able to do anything myself.
So need Richie to adjust my position which is frustrating.
Despite that the temporary solution is 100 times better than leaving me without my wheelchair for 6 days.
Good job I kept on mailing until they came up with this solution.
Love,
Herrad
