A Great Relief.

It was a relief to get back into my blog after 21 hours of being locked out and not knowing why.

Very upsetting and frustrating, I thought for awhile that I had been locked out of my account.

There was very little information coming from Blogger, the only information forthcoming, was Blogger was not available.

I think that a short message letting everyone know right away that there were problems during maintenance work would have been reassuring.

I found it very difficult to cope, what helped me was my two other blogs, one at Blog.com,  the other on Word press.

Both called Living My Life With MS, both started when I ran out of space for pictures and sadly could not buy extra space with PayPal.

Blogger only allows payment with credit cards, something I do not want, I do not want to get hooked into the world of credit.

So the only thing I could do was find a couple of blogs, however I did not just want to be able to upload pictures so have my daily posts on three blogs.

This meant that during the 21 hours that Blogger was not available I could write my post and publish in Blog.com as well as on Word press.

My first blog on Blogger is the one hat means the most to me, that is where I have met so many wonderful people and made such good friends.

Yes it would have been nice if they had told us there was a problem. I didn't know what was going on...I only know I was tired, I was trying to leave comments (they didn't take) and a half-finished post went up on my blog (oh well...) and I never saw it in draft mode or posted for at least 12 hours (LOL) and so on... but I thought it was ME since there was no message. Plus I was that tired.

Guess we all had different issues.

I am glad we're still connected by our bloggy houses in our wonderful bloggy village!

Hi Sherry,
I thought it was me too, thought I had been locked out of my blog.
So glad they finally had sorted it out, really upsetting thinking no more blog and no more contact.
So glad we are still in touch.
Thanks for coming by.
Love,
Herrad

Blessings my friend, thanks for the visit. Loved seeing you there.

Blogspot was doing maintainance, I had the same issues and there was a link with info that said they were doing maintainance and they apologized for the inconvenience.

I was challenging waiting. I am always excited to visit my friends and keep up with their lives and also see who stopped by to share their wisdom with me and say hello.

Take care, my regards to Richie.
Have a fabulous week with more wonder filled and satisfying moments than challenging ones.

UGH I hate that, that happened to me last week and I ended up re-writing most of my thoughts (after my first try didn't take)

As I did some maintenance 'on me own' this wasn't that much felt by me, yet understand the need to access quiet well, as this site has become much more part of me, that I thought it would be possible, allowed.
Thank you for your kind visit and comment ! Please have you all a good start into the new week.

Hello Herrad,

It was indeed frustrating for the blogger to go off all of a sudden without any warning.

Initially I thought that my blog has been blocked since I had a similar experience before with regard to my blog LIFE IN MOTION. But subsequently I found out that all had the same problem. Then it is question of sitting and waiting. Waiting for something which we are so used at the click of a button is nerve wracking. In the end the blogger appeared as it disappeared, all of a sudden. Only people who are maintaining the blogger know what they are doing and we can't even complain.

Any way we are back to our old ways and that is something good.

Best wishes,
Joseph

Hi Herrad, yes it was not fun being disconnected for over 24 hrs via the Blogger meltdown! I think Blogger had a link to 'known issues' where more details could be found, but that only said "soon" that they would restore posts and I lost some comments. "Soon" took over 24 hrs.

At least we are all back now!

HUGS

I have to laugh. So many of us are hooked on our blogs like crack! I couldn't even log on. Their message said that maintenance would take a couple hours. Oh well, let's hope they got the problem fixed.

This has only happened once before in the three years I've been on Blogspot, and I don't think that's a bad track record at all. Seriously, what do you want for free?

Be well, fellow blog addicts.

Unfortunately with Blogger you have to follow their blog or twitter account to know what's happening. They don't just offer the information via a quick email or even on the error page.

Hope you are well!

Hi Rhapsody,
I agree it was challenging coping with no Blogger.
Hated thinking I could not visit anyone.
Glad we can access our blogs and communicate with each other.

Hi Ricardo,
It was truly horrible, glad its all sorted now and we have our blogs and contacts back.

Hi Robert,
The need to access my blog was huge.
So glad it got sorted, nice to hear from you.
Hope your week is good.
Your blog is lovely.

Hi Joseph,
I thought that I too was blocked like you had been.
It was nerve wracking waiting glad it was solved.

Hi Mary,
I think we all thought the same, good to be back in touch.

Hi Webster,
'Hooked' on blogger and on contacts with friends, didn't we all feel bereft, no blog no contact with the world of friends, glad it was sorted.
Never experienced this before.

Hi Kris,
I found the lack of info the most annoying, kept getting the message unavailable which I knew only too well.

Thanks to you 7 dear friends for coming by, the lack of access was truly horrible I had problems keeping calm but did.
So glad that it got sorted and we are back in touch.
Love,
Herrad
