Great News Today.

Ton Peeks, the brilliant nurse who has been visiting since I have been in bed, came to inspect the wound and it is official the wound has finally closed nearly 14 months later.

We are very pleased and happy about this good news and so is Ton Peeks, who has supported us wonderfully well.

Happy days, sadly my chair is nowhere near being donw, seems the paperwork has not been sent to the Council yet.

Shame as I,we were hoping to get good news about the go ahead being given this week for the adaptions to be made and fitted on to my chair.

I need to practise sitting and at first can only sit for an hour at a time, hope that the goahead will happen soon so that I will have the chance to go to the gig on 21 November.

Going to try my best to remain optimistic.

Great news. Can you call someone who could advocate for you? It is essential to your continued health successes, i.e. detrimental to your health to hold this up. Best wishes, Mary

Hi Mary,
Thanks, sadly no-one can advocate for me, the person I heard it from Michelle, my consultant should be making sure eveything gets through as quickly as possible but she has not.

Thanks for all your visits and congratulations we are both very happy today.
Looking forward to progress on the wheelchair.
Have a good day tomorrow.

Herrad

Terrific! I am happy for you! Finally healed, yay! Frustration abound with you over paperwork but I look forward to hearing about your forays outside!

Oh I am SO glad the wound is completely healed. It stinks that getting your chair is taking so long, but use this time wisely. Develop your core strength by sitting an hour a day so you'll be ready to go out in the chair for longer periods of time than that!

You know, it's fun to linger at coffeehouses and restaurants! You want to be comfortable doing that!!

WooHoo for you!! You are an inspiration, Herrad. (Richie is too, of course, as he has been there every (so to speak) step of the way.
