What A Relief.

Today has been a very grey misty cold day, a total difference from yesterday.

Monday and Tuesday were bright, sparkling days and today has been such a contrast.

Anne came to visit us at 15.00; she brought us a couple of spicy salt fish rolls from Surima, a Suriname shop by the Ten Cate market.

While she was here it started to snow furiously, it is still snowing now, two houses later.

The snow is thick, it is whirling around, and luckily nothing is lying so far which is good.

Before Anne came round I had an appointment with the optician.

Since I got my new lenses, I have not been happy with them, since then my vision has not been good.

I thought it was the MS, but it turns out that the lenses were too strong, which was quite a relief for me.

Glad it is the spectacles and not my MS which has progressed and starting to rob me of my eyesight.

I shall have to wait until next week for the new lenses nut should have them next week Wednesday.

Brilliant that it is not my MS that has progressed, I am so relieved, I thought that I world have to be very brave.

Great news that your eyes are holding steady. I still have residual loss from early bouts with Optic Neuritis which still flares now and then. When it does I have to remind myself that "this too, shall pass," then pray to the stars that it will!

When I was getting ready to go to my urologist appointment today at 3 PM I looked outside and lo and behold it was snowing! Within minutes everything was white, so I called and rescheduled for Monday. Ten minutes later it stopped - Go figure. What has fallen has melted off the streets. Supposed to snow tonight, then melt, which is fine with me. It would have been kind of nice to be snowbound for a day or two, however. ;-)

The weather peeps are saying we might have snow here in Sacramento. The last time it snowed here and stuck was in 1976 -2". Rare here.

My left eye is still in ON mode. I was watching TV the other day and my right eye vision was all blurry.

I freaked out and then discovered that it was only dog slobber all over the lens. Cleaned the lens and whew.

Hi Webster,
I thought it was optic neuritis not the new lenses.
What a relief it is the lenses.
It snowed here too for hours and then melted away too.

Hi Jan,
No snow since 1976, Sacremento sounds the place to be.
Glad to hear cleaning your lenses restored your vision, what a nasty shock for you and what a quick resolution.

Thanks both of you for coming by and leaving your comments.
Once you have had optic neuritis anything that affects the eyes triggers off huge alarm.
I panicked and thought that I was going blind, so glad that it is not my eyesight.
Keep warm.
Love,
Herrad
