Sunny Days and Blogs.

Peruvian Art

Sunny day today again, it has been pleasant here since last Thursday, today it is about 22 degrees, weather which is comfortable.

Nice to hear the mellow sounds from outside, can hear the blackbird, he sounds very laidback and relaxed singing in his backyard.

Soon be time for the World Cup noticed again how exciting it gets at the end of the football season, which always happens at a gallop.

One minute it is the end of January and plenty of time and next moment it’s near the end of May and the final gripping games are happening.

This year Chelsea won the FA Cup and League and Blackpool went back up into the Premiership for the first time in 39 years since 1971.

Very exciting and good games too plus all the fun of seeing Jose Moriniho's team Inter Milan beat Bayern for the European Cup.

Had a lot of pain this morning, my arms are so stiff first thing when I wake up, hate the way any movement triggers off lots of arm cramps.

My arms get folded over my chest and clamped tightly together which is difficult to prise apart.

Takes me about 20 minutes to half an hour to finally get my arms stretched out and above the covers.

Then slowly I can get my hands to grip onto the trapeze hanging over my bed, as soon as I am able to hold on and lift my shoulders off the bed I start to do my arm exercises.

Really noticeable that once I have done the arm exercises that I can use my arms and hands and they are no longer stiff and painful.

After Richie did my leg exercises and massage and I took my baclofen pills, we drank a cup of tea together, and then I am keen to check on my mail and write my blog post for today.

Since I stopped eating chocolate right after Easter it has become more noticeable in my face that I am no longer adding layers off fat around my face.

It was getting to the point where my individuality was being lost, now a month and a half since my face is becoming mine again.

Feel pleased with myself for recognising what was happening and stopping the behaviour right away.

Did the same with tobacco and then with smoking weed, both of which I stopped without tapering off.

Not easy to stop a habit, it was a daily thing to smoke and recently to eat some chocolate, often after dinner and desert.

Then the shock and horror as I almost did not recognise myself, know that I could have refused to accept the truth and carried on eating a couple of pieces everyday.

Glad I accepted the truth and stopped, which was not easy to do as everyday there comes that chocolate moment.

Still had cravings so I started eating apples and other delicious fruit instead which is so much better for me, and I enjoy it much more.

I am feeling better and looking better and best of all I am beginning to enjoy my appearance again and putting on bits of jewellery and perfume.

Quitting anything cold turkey takes a lot of determination! I quit a lot of things cold turkey and found it was very difficult at first...but it's all a mind game really. I'm off chocolate too now, and caffeine. Mostly sugar, although I still do like it in my decaf. I'm also off red meat, just because I have digestive issues, but it turns out that I'm eating a lot more healthy fish so that was a good thing! I'm so glad you're wearing some jewelery again! I started to wear my rings and necklaces again recently for that same reason, I feel better about myself! Wonderful! :)
I hope tomorrow's appointment starts the into-your-chair-summer-extravaganza!!!! :)))
Have a great day Herrad!

Thanks for the email, Herrad. It's never easy to give something up cold turkey but you're right that in the end, we make things more difficult for ourselves by tapering off. Still, I'd miss chocolate.. perhaps an occasional indulgence? Nice to know though that you're back to bedazzling yourself with jewelry. :) Thanks kindly for the award. I'll place it into my sidebar slideshow. Much appreciated. :)
