Thomas Bak
Today the sun is shining which is lovely, nice to glance out of the window and see the sunshine and occasional blue sky with fluffy white clouds drifting by.
I'm feeling better today it's amazing what a good nights sleep will do, it certainly has made a lot of difference to how I am feeling.
Yesterday I was made extremely aware of the steady progression of my progressive Multiple Sclerosis, it felt like it was being rubbed under my nose.
As if I could possibly even for one moment forget about having this horrible disease, it never lets me forget.
When my friend Anja was here last Thursday in order to get the paperwork ready for the court hearing this Wednesday, I was rather shocked when I saw the letter from Dr. Stolwijk, from the rehabilitation clinic.
It really hit me quite hard when I read that I was described as a tetraplegic, it was seeing the word that brought it home to me.
If only my MS would not progress any further, because I want to make the most of everythingj, I could manage reasonably well staying as I am now.
Of course what I most want and I guess everyone in a similar position would also want the same and that is a cure for this disease.
Being realistic I know this is not going to happen in my lifetime; however I really hope that it will happen very soon to give others a perspective of a better future.
