It’s almost party time here now, Ton, the nurse from the RCA surprised us by turning up alone at 11.45 instead of 13.45 with Doctor Stolwijk.

This was when we noticed how stressed we both were about Ton’s visit.

Not surprising that both of us slept badly and kept waking up, I was suddenly totally awake at 5 am.

Really not surprising and also for Richie, these visits are stressful events where we do not always get the news we want to hear.

Luckily the visit is done and dusted and behind us and there was the good news that it is barely one cm left open.

The new regime for the last couple of weeks is that Richie only uses a tiny bit of the tampon dressing to plug the wound and allow moisture to drain a way, the healing process is well underway now so Richie does not have to apply any prontosan anymore.

Ton is on holiday and will be back on 8 July, he expects the wound to be closed up in two weeks time when we have to call Doctor Stolwijk so she can confirm that the healing process is completed.

Really hope this is so as we have been waiting since the end of January for the moment when the wound has healed.

I think it will be August before I get outside again, have to make sure that when I can sit that I get a jacket and leg warmer bag.

Even though it will be warm I am always cold and will most likely really notice the temperature outside.

I am looking forward to it very much!

I am thrilled for you, Herrad. Will think good thoughts for you (and Ritchie) and we'll see what happens.

Swans? Geese? I'm clueless. Beautiful, nevertheless...

XOXO

Hi Jen,

Thanks for coming by real nice getting your comment.

The birds are swans who do not usually come round here.

We usually see geese, there is a big flock which started from a couple 20 yrs ago.

Have a good day.

Love,
Herrad

Wow, that will make one year in bed...I'm so happy though, it's less than two months until you'll be outside!!! That's such great news!

We don't have swans in my area, they're so pretty!

I'm up late today....silly Spencer whining all night. I think he had tummy troubles, I was up 3 times to take him out in the yard. Now he's snoring away on his pillow and I'm counting the seconds before the caffeine kicks in! They are like kids sometimes. I used to say that dogs are like toddlers that never grow up! My coffee is French Vanilla, it was on sale at the store, I guess not too popular in these parts, but I love it so I got a tin for $1.97. It's so good!!! What's on the menu today Herrad? I'm going to have beans n' toast for lunch, and for dinner, homemade pasta with tomato & basil sauce, I'll add some pangasius fish to it to make it healthy! And a glass of.......

ginger ale! Hee hee.

Have a great evening!

Hope Spencer is better today.

Had a great smoothie for breakfast and cauliflpower and cashnut soup for lunch was real good.

Richie has made fish cakes and will serve with veggies and rice and fresh mango pickle.

An nearly ripe mango (Richie got a box of 6 for 1 euro)cut into pieces and salt and pepper and vinegar and pepper sauce.

Love it was a big fav in Trinidad.

Your dinner sounds very good ginger ale yummy.

Hmmm the soup sounds delicious, I usually get a yen for homemade soups in the fall, but it's been such a cool summer so far, I'm thinking I'll make a homemade carrot soup tomorrow!

Dear Herrad:

I'm looking forward to the day you can get outside again and enjoy everything nature has to offer.

I sure hope that time is sooner than later.

Your words and life are always an inspiration and lend so much hope to others. I just wanted you to know that as fact.

I understand you threw another award at me; yet I ducked so it didn't hit me between the eyes.
Thank you for the latest award and for just for being you. {now I may have to open up another blog just to show all the awards you have given me LMAO}.

Hope you have a great day,

Stan
