So here it is Merry Christmas, just like Slade sung in 1973.

It is a cold, bright day today, a good Christmas eve, with snow on the ground.

So cold that Richie is having porridge before going out and doing the shopping.

The dogs love this cold, sharp weather and have been playing happily ever since we woke up, it is funny watching them playing with each other.

Marleen can tease Spike so well and so easily by suddenly taking his kong (toy) and casually playing with it in front of him, then she may give it back or she will play with another toy, just putting her paw on the kong everytime Spike gets close.

This has been going on for ages now, only to be briefly interrupted by them being taken around the block.

Richie is very busy today, hope he keeps coming by and feeding me little titbits.

He brought the mail and opened several Christmas cards from friends which were very nice, one of the nicest cards was from Richie’s sister Audrey.

Very touching to get her card, she surprised us by sending us flowers and wine for our wedding anniversary last Saturday.

It has been very sweet getting to know Audrey, she heard from one of their brothers, Peter that I had been diagnosed with MS and I had a blog.

So she looked for me and surprised me by finding my blog and leaving a sweet message in the guest book.

He has been extremely busy, now he is relaxing for 5 minutes and playing his banjo, before going to the shops.

Hope you are all having a good Christmas eve, I do love the Winter Solstice and the winter feast, good for us to enjoy and bond wih each other.
