About trying to live with ms and discovering that suddenly most places are inaccessible and that life as a handicapped person is very different.

Autumn is here.
Seems that it is not just the seasons changing but also my MS is progressing, my arms and hands are very tense and painful, especially my arms
Woke up in lots of pain today, finding it very difficult to do much on the laptop, every time I select something ands click it takes twenty clicks before I open something.
Kept opening and minimising in one, which is very frustrating and when I finally got to where I wanted to be my fingers packed up completely.
And in the end after 5 minutes trying to open the window, I only succeeded in closing the window as soon as it was open.
Moving the mouse feels like I am moving a huge boulder, that’s how heavy my arms feel, it is my arms that are the problem not the mouse.
My neck is very sore can’t seem to get comfortable at all, but it is not the pain that is getting me down but my difficulty with the key board and mouse.
Think I need to start using the head mouse and the voice recognition program, as long as I can talk and write life is good.
Even better if I can laugh and of course eat and enjoy.
It is an autumn day, sweater weather Richie called it, and it’s occasionally sun which is followed by torrential rain and more thick clouds.
Summer stopped abruptly.
Hope I do not do the same for a long time yet, as I am so enjoying writing and communicating with all my lovely blog friends.
This morning before I opened my blog I had a look at the blog of note, it is well worth a look, and it has stunning photos and gives a glimpse of life in Indonesia.

Bogor Daily Photo.
Hope you enjoy it as I did.
Just a short post as I am hurting too much, really need Richie to straighten my body for me, have to wait until he is back.
I shall be trying to have a good day, despite the pain or maybe because of it.
Hope you all have a good day,

herrad, we all love & respect you for all that you do! and you know what? we understand that you have a hard time typing & all, so i know i understand if you don't comment on my blog! it's enough to know that you can get around and read the blogs, and, hopefully, laugh a little!!
Hi Libby,
Thanks for your visit and understanding comment.
I intend to keep blogging and commenting as long as I can.
Have a good Friday.
Love,
Herrad
I look forward to reading your posts, but I wish it was(all of it) just a bit easier for you. You are in my thoughts, & I so wish I could "do" more. So many of us(me definitely included) take motility for granted at times..~Mary
Hi Mary,
Thanks for visiting and commenting, has given me a boost.
Abit low today, probably also a touch weather related, as today is the first dark rainy day.
Have a good Friday.
Love,
Herrad
a lovely collection of pics. Sorry you are feeling rotten today. you say how difficult it's being to type your post but you still managed to do it and write a fairly long one.
It's never much fun looking out at the rain, hope the sun shines for you soon.
best wishes, Friko
Hi Herrad, thank you for leaving me comments and concern for my daughter on my blog, ((hugs)) I appreciate what it took for you to do that with typing.
---
Now blue October, smoky in the sun,
Must end the long, sweet summer of the heart.
The last brief visit of the birds is done,
They sing the autumn songs before they part.
Listen, how lovely---there's the thrush we heard
When June was small with roses, and the bending
Blossom of branches covered nest and bird,
Singing the summer in, summer unending---
Give me your hand once more before the night;
See how the meadows darken with the frost,
How fades the green that was the summer's light.
Beauty is only altered, never lost,
And love, before the cold November rain,
Will make its summer in the heart again.

Hi Stephany,
Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment.
Lovely poem, very moving.
Hugs and Love,

My Dear Friend Herrad,
I am so sorry to hear the troubles you are having with pain in your hands & arms. It is one thing I can totally associate with you because the pain in my right arm and hand is also really bad and has been for the last couple of months. I wonder will the pain ever end, but then I think, I have to find a way to get through it. Typing for too long is an issue for me too - voice recognition sounds a great idea.
I hope your pain doesn't last for long.
Always thinking of you and Richie and sending you lots of special love & hugs.
Take care, my friend.
XxXxX
I hope you sleep peacefully tonight, it's afternoon here and I just got back from seeing my daughter, she's still talking, like a beacon of hope for all of us.
:)
Dear Herrad:
This latest progression news comes as very unnerving and disturbing to say the least my friend. I want you to know you are always in my thoughts, wishes, and heart.
I wish I could reach through this screen and give both you and Richie some huge bear hugs right now.
No words here are going to change the obvious of course.
I can hope this is only going to be a obtrusive speed bump and not one of those concrete block walls this time around.
---------------------------
For Herrad:
These Frozen thoughts,
a weary welcoming darkness awaits,
rest at the end of a long journey.
A new beginning as adventures sown upon the spouting seeds of time.
The spring gave free endless days stretched out upon long green grasses thick in dew.
The joy and peace of trickling singing waters a flutter in pleasant thoughts of far off folly with dancing delight.
Yet, summer has come and taken it's due in course. A hollowed bed lays barren; dry these silent grains of sand cry out no more.
Only solemn sounds of soft warmed winds across sleeping clustered rock.
Once more the sky is awakening in billowing cloud and graying form; as Autumn reaches forth to grasp a seasons prize once more.
Thus winter will follow in turn; with the splendor of cold blanketed comforting renewal. As both nature's and our cycle begin and end as it always has.
Stan
PS: NO KLEENEX LOL
Allow me to wish you power, as much as you need. Wish I could put some in a packet and send it to you. Until that might be possible, you might like to click upon the island picture at my site.
Before I forget: a big Wouw-Wouw from Stefan who pointed at each of your yesterday dogs and was very happy.
Hi Friko,
Thanks for your comment, yesterday was painful and therefore difficult.
Took me a very long time to write my post yesterday.
You are right in saying it was difficult but still I managed.
Should have heard e swearing as I was writing as everything kept going wrong.
There is a tginy bit of sun today.
Hi Stephany,
Was my pleasure, really hope thst she is allowed to tak some steps forward and does not have to tread water but can blossom.
The poem is really lovely thanks.
Hugs.
Hi Amelia,
Thanks for coming by and leaving me such a sweet comment.
Sad your pain has not diminished at all hope it will soon.
Voice recognition software is great, you have to do some reading exercises so the software can get used to your voice, the spelling mistakes are hilerious.
Big hug to you too.
Hi Stan,
Thanks for your comment, it is very sweet of you,r eally appreciate it.
Shame you can't pop through the screen for a chat and a cup of tea.
The poem is good and I managed to read it without crying which is quite a feat for me.
Hi Robert,
Thanks for your powerful thoughts, wish you could send me some also for my legs.
Really happy Stefan liked the pictures, I sent him 3 pics of our dogs.
Thanks lovely people for coming by and leaving me a comment.
Big hugs.
Love,
Herrad
Hello Herrad, I hope Richie came soon and you are feeling better now. And I also hope that the sun is shining. The images you posted are so intriguing, you always choose such interesting motifs.
My first time on your blog. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
God Bless.
Ah, Herrad, terrible news! But, even with this latest setback, you're still thinking about how to deal with it. A new MS blogger, zoomdoggies, uses voice recognition software so she might have some advice for you. Her blog is at zoomdoggies.blogspot.com.

Hi Celeste Maia,
Richie was back quickly and rescued me.
The sun is shining every nows and the, it is nice to see.
Hi Gaia,
Thanks for coming by and leaving good wishes.
Hello Cranky,
Thanks for your comment and link.
I already have the Dragon software, it takes abit of practise until it understands your voice and gives funny spelling mistakes.
Thanks for coming by and leaving your comments.
Have a good day.
Love,
Herrad
