Back of the house.

What a relief I slept well last night the last thing I remember is Richie turning the light off and me moaning softly and the music playing and the next it was day and I heard women's voices on the street.

Called out to Richie as soon as I needed him, we re-agreed this yesterday as he hears me moaning and this way I ask and he does not have to second guess.

So called out for THC and got it plus a leg massage and cream on the yeast infection which is getting better.

As I had done the arm exercises Richie got the baclofen and the food supplement that I start the day with and I was ready to enjoy another sunny day.

Been reading other blogs and been am ongst others to one in South Africa and one in Australia which is great fun.

My aim now is to find blogs in other parts of the world which I find very exciting am wondering how I go about this.

Can't enter blogs all over the world in Firefox???

Shall think about that for abit, if anyone has any suggestions how to find them please let me know.

Have been thinking about my childhood since I read on Rain’s blog that she found solace from reading books during her unhappy childhood.

This rang bells and realised that I had pushed this so far down that I did not even remember that it happened until I read her blog and then it all came flooding back.

The thing that kept me sane and happy too when I was a kid was escaping into books like Jane Austin and the Greek legends and Thomas Mann.

Would pick up a book and dive into it and totally immerse myself in the book and not hear or see anything around me while I was reading.

It was a good escape and it would help blank out the reality of my life at home.

Where I seemed to be held in solitary confinement when I was not at school, as making friends was not encouraged by my parents.

I escaped as soon as I could legally leave home at age 18.

Realise also that I too have been escaping from stressful situations ever since and I too have a big fight or flee instinct and no wonder after life with my mummy and daddy dearest.

The other thing I noticed is that I won’t tolerate bullying or patronising behaviour and will always defend those being picked on and no wonder.

Thanks to Rain have made some more connections and been able to understand another piece of the jigsaw.

Happy day hope everyone has a good one.

HI Herrad!

I wish the weather in NYC was like your pictures. Gloomy week so far. :o(

You can google anything you want and will get some lists of blogs. Maybe help your search a little by picking a destination of interest and then add blog next to it. That might narrow it down a bit.

These websites are helpful too:
http://www.blogsbywomen.org/
http://www.blogher.com/

Have a great day!

Hi Herrad!

Looks like we both have sunny days today! it's warmer here today than yesterday. I mowed the grass again, it actually grew up an inch or two, seemingly overnight! (well the backyard, in about 2 days)

Koda doens't like the heat. He barks to come inside, where it is cooler.

There's a site called "stumbleupon" that you can sign up for and it "stumbles" blogs by topic--photography, art, mental health, MS, etc.

I'm on there somewhere! it's a fun way to find new sites.

I also read a lot when I was a kid to escape and i read a lot of horse books and nancy drew when i was 8-10 yrs old.

I like audio books, have you tried that? many times, it is the author who is reading the book on tape.

Have a good night, and I hope another nice sleep.

Herrad - just looked at your photos of Spike and Maureen. Spike looks so much like my two mini-dachshunds! They are both piebald black and tans. Shorten Spike's legs by half and he'd pass for a mini-dach!

I'm hopeful that you're back up in your wheelchair in May as your nurse is saying might happen. Then you can get outside with them in the park.
